Tortilla pizza with wild boar ham and bell pepper

If, like me, you're crazy about thin and crispy pizza crusts and you want something even thinner and crispier than true pizza bases (like ours here), you can try making pizza on a wheat tortilla base. We made this and it complemented the wild boar ham we had on stock wonderfully. Enjoy :)

Last year: Potato and herring salad, Truffle cake (Belgium) and Spicy potato-cheese fritters.

Ingredients (serves 2):
  • 2 wheat tortillas
  • 3-4 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 30-40 g wild boar ham
  • 50 g grated emmentaler cheese
  • 1/3 red bell pepper
First of all, heat a heavy-bottomed pan and fry the teared boar ham until crisp (don't use any oil or fat).

Preheat oven to 200 degrees C. Chop up the bell pepper into thin canes. Spread the tomato sauce on the two tortillas. Sprinkle the fried ham, bell pepper and the cheese on them and put them on a baking paper-lined sheets.

Bake for 15-20 minutes. Take out of the oven:

It's done, dig in! :)
